I am a thirty something M.B.A. with ten years corporate experience considering two job offers. The first offer is for an office manager for a doctors office (good pay, crappy benefits, no retirement plan, low to medium stress, pays $45k annually); the second offer is for a huge bank (A.V.P. position, high stress, high pay $60k annually, long hours, excellent benefits, 401k., medium to high employee turnover and burnout, etc.)
a.) Which one should I take?
b.) How soon should I accept the offer? Should I let both employers know I need the weekend to think about it or will they withdraw the offer?
c.) Which one will help my career in the long term?
d.) Will the doctor's office be ';deadend';?
e.) Will I be burned out at the bank (office politics, etc.)?
